PALM SUNDAY 2023

On Sunday, April 2,, Saint Benedict celebrated Palm Sunday, remembering our Lord's triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The solemn liturgy began first with a procession around the church.

Candlemas & Blessing of the Throats 2023

On February 1, Saint Benedict celebrated Candlemas and Saint Blaise's Blessing of the Throats. This was an important time for the parish community to gather together and celebrate the culmination of the Christmas.

Good Friday 2013

On March 29, Saint Benedict celebrated the services of Good Friday with the living stations of the cross, a procession and adoration of the most Holy Cross. 

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

On January 13, the parish gathered together to celebrate the Baptism of Our Lord.

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4

On April 6, Saint Benedict celebrated the services of Good Friday with the living stations of the cross, a procession and adoration of the most Holy Cross.

Food Pantry Christmas Outreach

The parish community gathered together on the fourth sunday of Advent to package bags of food for the food pantry. These bags would be distributed throughout the community. Before delivering the bags, the parish gathered together to sing some traditional christmas carols. 

Preparing "The Village at Norcia"

Father Paschal worked with community leaders to demolish the abandoned houses behind the church so that a senior citizen complex with 100 apartments for low income housing could be created. This community will be named the Village at Norcia, in honor of the birthplace of Saint Benedict.

Palm Sunday

On April 17, the parish held a great procession and mass for Palm Sunday.

The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Hosanna in the highest heaven!" Matthew 21:9

Fr. Paschal Journeys with Bishop Madden to the Holy Land 2011

Fr. Paschal journeyed to the Holy Land with a good friend of the parish, Bishop Madden. From the place of Christ's birth, to the mountain of his ascension into heaven, they experienced the land where the faith was born.
